We are seeking to build a pool of talented individuals. Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for current and future opportunities. Your Capabilities and Credentials

Looking for all levels: Junior (less than 3 years), Intermediate (3 to 9 years) and Senior (10+ years)

Junior Geotechnical Technician/Technologist:

  • Technical diploma in from a recognized college in civil, materials, geotechnical or geology

  • Have knowledge of soil sampling techniques and construction methodology

  • Familiarity with ASTM standards

  • Previous experience with geotechnical site investigations and on-site reviews of construction activities or geotechnical laboratory testing is an asset.

Junior Geotechnical Engineer (EIT):

  • Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, geological, civil or mining engineering or geology

  • Eligible to register as an engineer-in-training with Engineers Yukon and/or the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists

  • Previous experience with geotechnical site investigations, design of shallow or deep foundations, slope stabilities, and on-site reviews of construction activities or geotechnical laboratory testing is an asset.

Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, geological, civil or mining engineering or geology

  • Eligible to register as a professional engineer with Engineers Yukon and/or the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists

  • Experience in heavy civil geotechnical engineering applications including power, roads and highways, water and wastewater, tunneling and trenchless methods, slope stability, fresh water dams and numerical analysis;

  • Previous experience with permafrost and geotechnical engineering principals in cold environments is an asset.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, geological, civil or mining engineering or geology

  • Eligible to register as a professional engineer with Engineers Yukon and/or the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists

  • Experience leading geotechnical design in heavy civil geotechnical engineering applications including power, roads and highways, water and wastewater, tunneling and trenchless methods, slope stability, fresh water dams and numerical analysis;

  • Experience with permafrost and geotechnical engineering principals in cold environments.

  • Experience with thermal modeling is an asset.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
