Purpose:

 

The Lending Services Team Lead is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality administrative services for corporate credit facilities across multiple banking units. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining strong risk and compliance standards. The successful candidate will help lead a high-performance team and contribute to the continuous improvement of loan operations.

Team Leadership & Performance:

 

• Support the development of a customer-centric, high-performing team culture.

• Assist the manager in overseeing team performance, staffing, and workload management.

• Provide weekly performance and volume reporting to senior management.

• Coach and mentor junior and new team members to build team capability and engagement.

 

Operational Management:

 

• Administer loan information for syndicated and direct lending transactions.

• Validate financial limits, ensure accurate calculations, and manage fund disbursements.

• Ensure compliance with loan documentation terms, including pricing, conditions, and limits.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex operational issues.

 

Risk & Compliance:

 

• Implement and maintain strong operational controls to mitigate risk.

• Ensure adherence to:

• Operational Risk Management Framework

• Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework

• AML/ATF Global Handbook

• Organizational Conduct Guidelines

• Proactively identify and escalate policy exceptions or control gaps.

 

Systems & Technical Expertise:

 

• Develop deep expertise in loan servicing platforms (e.g., Loan IQ).

• Ensure accurate accounting entries and system integrations.

• Support special projects and address complex operational challenges as needed.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

 

• Proven experience in corporate lending services, including:

• Syndicated loans

• Term loans

• Revolving credit facilities

• Working capital loans

• Asset-based lending

 

• Strong understanding of loan operations, documentation, and compliance.

 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Work Arrangement:

 

• Working Hours for the UK Team: 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM (EST)

• Work may include Canadian or US or UK statutory holidays
