Type: 6-month contract
Location: Remote (ideally Ottawa, open to GTA)

We are excited to partner with a reputable national nonprofit organization to hire a skilled Workday Specialist on a contract basis to support the successful implementation of their Workday ERP system, with a primary focus on Finance and Payroll modules. The Specialist will play a key role in testing, process design, documentation, and training to ensure smooth adoption across the Finance team and related functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Workday Finance and Payroll modules.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Payroll teams to map and optimize business processes.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user documentation.
  • Provide hands-on support and training to Finance team members during implementation and post-go-live.
  • Assist with data validation, migration, and reconciliation activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the Finance team, Payroll, Project Manager and technical Workday consultants to ensure business needs are met.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks/issues, and recommend solutions during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Workday ERP implementation, with a focus on Finance and Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, payroll operations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing ERP systems and managing defect resolution.
  • Skilled in developing SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver on project deadlines.
  • CPA designation or finance background is an asset.
