The Field Engineer is a key contributor to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes within an on-site environments. This position requires strong technical expertise, proactive troubleshooting, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing field conditions. The Field Engineer oversees on-site installations, performs inspections, and coordinates with project managers, contractors, and clients to keep work on schedule and within specifications. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety are essential for successful project execution. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
This is a field-based role with Calgary, AB as the primary location and may require travel to project sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site engineering assessments, inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Plan and coordinate daily field activities to meet project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and documentation of field work.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support commissioning, installation, and maintenance of equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant field engineering or site supervision experience.
- Strong understanding of construction/industrial safety practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office and engineering software (AutoCAD, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various sites as needed.
