Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization in the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Clerk for a 6-month contract based in DT Toronto. The position will operate in a hybrid working structure. This opportunity requires 2+ years of experience in a similar role in banking, gaming, parking, or retail, with proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately match vendor invoices to goods receipts within SAP S/4HANA.
Communicate with vendors by phone and email to request account statements, with a focus on year-end processes.
Perform detailed reconciliations of vendor statements against vendor accounts in SAP, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Maintain and update an Excel tracking log to monitor the progress of statement requests, receipts, and reconciliations.
Provide regular status updates and feedback to management regarding outstanding items, completed reconciliations, and overall progress.
Collaborate with internal teams as needed to resolve invoice or statement-related issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (invoice and goods receipt matching required).
Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
