Purpose

Our Global Analytics Engineering team is dedicated to building scalable, cloud-native data infrastructure that powers data-driven decision-making across the bank.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow for orchestration and dbt for transformation , ensuring modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
  • Build scalable data models optimized for performance and usability in BigQuery and other GCP services.
  • Ensure data quality and reliability through automated testing frameworks, anomaly detection, and monitoring tools.
  • Implement data governance and security best practices
  • Document data architecture, lineage, and transformation logic using tools like dbt docs, Data Catalog, and Confluence.
  • Support data scientists and analysts by providing clean, well-modeled, and accessible datasets.
  • Continuously improve and experiment with new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance data engineering practices.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong asset, though familiarity with any major cloud technologies such as Azure or GCP is considered sufficient.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data processing libraries such as pandas, PySpark, or Beam.
  • High-level knowledge of dbt and the modern data stack.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, and data lakehouse concepts.
  • Proven track record of implementing data quality frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
  • Experience in Banking, Finance, or Credit Cards is a strong asset.
  • Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and performance-driven.
