Global Collateral and Intraday Liquidity Management is responsible for reporting and managing liquidity and funding risk for the bank. This includes liquidity management and strategy, stress testing, daily cash management, collateral placement, as well as financial, regulatory, and management reporting. 

 

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Associate Collateral and Intraday Liquidity Management is primarily focused on:

 

  • Daily production of Collateral Sources and Uses data
  • Building and managing Bank-wide collateral MIS
  • Monitoring of Bank-wide SFT utilization against the Limits on the daily basis
  • Monthly production of regulatory reports, such as Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (CDIC) schedules, regional Cash Gap production support, U.K. Bank Levy, Scotia Capital Inc., U.S. collateral reporting, etc.
  • Regional SFT-related initiatives and implementations

 

Is this role right for you?  In this role, you will:

 

  • Support daily operational collateral MIS production, data validation and create necessary adjustments
  • Manage product mapping, legal entities mapping, intercompany references, and other tables
  • Validate data to EGL/OBI, Finance reports, and other sources and benchmarks
  • Produce monthly CDIC schedules and perform data validation and controls. Partner with Technology teams to troubleshoot production issues, log defects, and recommend enhancements/solutions.
  • Provide backup for the Bank-wide SFT limits monitoring, Scotia Capital Inc. and U.S. liquidity reports, and other deliverables
  • Participate in testing, dashboard development and repo netting assessment
  • Assist with regional stress testing and other reporting initiatives
  • Other routine and ad hoc tasks as required

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:

 

  • Undergraduate in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking industry with a focus on financial and management regulatory reporting
  • Strong background in accounting and financial statement analysis, as well as a detailed understanding of banking products across business lines
  • Project planning, risk management, and other project management skills are preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, VBA, Power BI, and MS Office
  • Prior experience in liquidity management and liquidity regulatory framework is an asset
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented player able to work well in a complex, demanding, and fast-paced environment
