One of the Department of Health and Wellness’s (DHW) mandates is to ensure the delivery of collaborative health care to communities through Emergency Health Services, including medical communications, medical first response, ground and air ambulance, and other programs. DHW is responsible for setting standards, developing policies, funding, and regulatory oversight of the EHS system and the vendor contracted to operate the EHS system.
Reporting to the Director, Emergency Health Services, the Manager, Emergency Health Services is responsible for managing program resources for Emergency Health Services (EHS) including contract management, procurement, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and monthly forecasting and service delivery assessment. The Manager contributes and provides leadership to EHS projects and programs by ensuring that legislation, regulation and policy development supports implementation. The Manager supports the Director in the process of providing leadership, management and direction to the province's integrated, out-of-hospital emergency system.

To be considered for this opportunity, you have a bachelor’s or master's degree in a relevant field of study and several years progressive management experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, such as graduation from an accredited paramedicine training program and relevant experience.

This is a TERM employment opportunity with anticipated end date of June 16, 2027. The appointment status (‘term’, ‘temporary’ or ‘casual’) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3,760.89 - $4,701.11 Bi-Weekly
