Reporting to the Lead, Ontario Operations, the General Manager/Paramedic Chief provides leadership for the overall operational effectiveness through established best practices and standardized operating policies and task responsibilities.  Responsible for providing direction and guidance to the operational teams assisting them with implementation of best practices.  The General Manager/Paramedic Chief will consult proactively and positively with their management team, employees and stakeholders to continually improve collaboration and project development to create innovative and new ideas for the delivery of healthcare for the municipality of Chatham-Kent.

As an effective communicator who can build and foster positive relationships with employees and stakeholders, the General Manager/Paramedic Chief will posses a post-secondary education preferably in Health Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience with post graduate studies or related Master’s degree being preference.  A visible leader with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience, preferably in the EMS or Health Care Management field with a high performance accredited system, the General Manager/Paramedic Chief will have a proven track record of empowering and leading employees successfully.

As a leader, your communication and presentation skills are well established.  You are a decision maker with a creative approach to dealing with complex situations.  You work independently with accountability, are an effective team player who is highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
