Newcomer Integration Branch
The Newcomer Integration Branch plays a central role in shaping and delivering settlement services and workforce integration initiatives for newcomers, including the recognition of foreign qualifications. The branch collaborates extensively with a wide network of stakeholders and third-party service providers to implement these programs effectively.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director leads the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and initiatives that support the effective integration of newcomers into Alberta's economy. The role involves enhancing collaboration within the branch, across other divisions, and with all levels of government, including relevant ministries within the federal government. This role also regularly collaborates with newcomer organizations to assess needs and explore opportunities for enhancing support for newcomers' settlement and integration into Alberta’s economy.
The Director leads the implementation and maintenance of a significant grant portfolio that contributes to the success of newcomers to Alberta. This role also leads the evaluation of nominations for the Alberta Immigrant Impact Awards, that celebrate the outstanding achievements of newcomers in Alberta.

We are currently hiring for one full time, permanent position. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (36.25 hours/week).
Work location is in Commerce Place,10155 102 Street, Edmonton.
