Our client in the tech and logistics space is hiring a Senior Manager, Workplace Strategy & Design to lead the workplace and facilities function across two of their main offices in Canada. This is a high-impact, strategic role for someone passionate about employee experience, project management, and creating collaborative, engaging office environments. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to juggle competing priorities. This role offers daily visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to shape the future of workplace design in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively research and propose innovative ways to improve in-office experiences across locations
- Lead end-to-end workplace design strategies, incorporating trends and employee feedback
- Translate workplace trends into practical fit-outs, design upgrades, and office enhancements
- Oversee fit-outs, lease management, vendor contracts, and facilities maintenance for all Canadian offices
- Ensure safe, secure, and inclusive office environments in partnership with the Health & Safety Advisor
- Lead internal policies and compliance related to building codes, health & safety, and AODA requirements
- Manage all office projects including renovations and workplace moves, ensuring completion on time and on budget
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors (contractors, technicians, security, etc.)
- Monitor pantry, office supplies, and budget tracking for all workplace operations
- Coach, lead, and develop a national team of five across two major offices (Toronto and Winnipeg)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure facilities support business needs and culture
- Provide regular reporting and strategic input to senior leadership and the CEO
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in workplace experience, facilities management, or property operations
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects in commercial real estate
- Strong experience with project management, vendor management, and contract negotiation
- Comfort with lease agreements, budget management, and compliance protocols
- A hands-on mentality and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of building and managing cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with executive presence

- Travel Required: Occasional travel to Winnipeg (a few days at a time); accommodations provided
- Work Model: Hybrid (Toronto-based, requiring 3 days onsite per week)
