Our client working in Welfare Services is hiring for a Consultant to join their team on a contract basis. This will be working only a set amount of hours per week, depending on your seniority and will be working in a fully remote environment.
Our client
develops innovative social service delivery programs to meet community needs. Many of these initiatives begin as pilot projects, which allow them to test, refine, and improve services before broader implementation. They are now looking to standardize how pilots are designed, tracked, and evaluated, ensuring a consistent and effective approach moving forward.
We are seeking a Project Management & Evaluation Consultant for a short-term contract. This role is focused on creating practical processes and tools that staff can use to design and evaluate pilot projects with greater consistency. The consultant will review industry best practices, design easy-to-use templates, and provide recommendations to help us strengthen how we test and scale new social service programs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong project management and evaluation expertise who enjoys creating replicable frameworks and practical tools for real-world use.
What You’ll Do
Review and summarize best practices for pilot project design, management, and evaluation.
Develop user-friendly templates such as:
Pilot project design frameworks (scope, objectives, resources, risks)
Tracking tools for pilot progress and milestones
Evaluation checklists to support scale-up or exit decisions
Create clear guidance documents for staff on how to plan, track, and evaluate pilots.
Recommend simple, accessible approaches for implementation using tools available (Word, Excel, Power BI).
Collaborate with leadership to ensure the tools and processes are practical, replicable, and aligned with organizational needs.
What You Bring
Proven expertise in project management and program evaluation.
Experience developing frameworks, templates, and processes that support organizational consistency.
Ability to translate best practices into practical, easy-to-use tools for staff.
Familiarity with pilot projects in the social services sector (an asset, but not required).
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a solutions-focused mindset.
