We are assisting our client in the search for a Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting to join their high-performing finance team in a hybrid role.
Location: Multiple offices throughout major cities in Canada (Hybrid)
In this contract, full-time, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, treasury operations, and supporting strategic financial planning for multiple entities, including pension and insurance structures. This role is ideal for a detail-driven CPA with strong financial reporting skills, treasury experience, and a passion for process improvement.
What you will do:
- Support business leaders with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to help meet both current and future goals.
- Identify key drivers behind financial results through variance analysis, offer options, and apply different costing models to guide decision-making.
- Oversee routine financial activities, ensure compliance with internal processes, and look for cost-saving opportunities.
- Help establish and track financial and non-financial KPIs, driving better performance and smarter operations.
- Create clear and impactful financial reports and analysis, and provide administrative support that helps leaders make informed decisions.
- Coach and guide business partners to strengthen their financial knowledge and decision-making skills.
What you bring:
- A Canadian CPA designation, a similar accounting/finance designation, or equivalent experience with relevant certification.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Solid experience using SAP or a similar ERP system, with a good understanding of modules like FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management), and WM (Warehouse Management).
- Bonus points if you have experience with IBM Analytics and have worked in a large non-profit or healthcare environment.
- Excellent people skills—you’re client-focused, trustworthy, and able to build strong working relationships across teams and leadership levels.
- Strong analytical thinking—you can collect, interpret, and clearly present complex financial data to support strategic decisions.
