Controller - Permanent, Hybrid
Our client, a well-established organization in the North York area, is seeking a Controller/Finance Manager to join their team, working 3 days onsite in a hybrid format. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in reporting, treasury, policy administration, and budgeting to take on a well-rounded and impactful role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal reporting requirements
- Manage day-to-day banking operations and maintain relationships with financial institutions
- Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure liquidity and working capital efficiency
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Lead the annual budgeting process and manage periodic forecasting updates
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Support internal and external projects with financial modeling and budget oversight
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and advisors during audits and reviews
- Address audit findings and support the implementation of process improvements
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or equivalent experience); strong technical accounting knowledge
- 4+ years of progressive experience in financial management or senior accounting roles
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and audit coordination
- Experience with Tax compliance
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and large accounting/ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
