The Role

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Payments Technology in Canada and globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. 

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Pega PRPC Solutions. 

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, high quality Pega applications. 

  • Develop workflows, business rules, Integrations, UI, and case management capabilities with Pega. 

  • Collaborate with BA's, architects and QA teams to ensure high quality deliverables. 

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to junior Pega dev’s. 

  • Troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing Pega applications. 

  • Work with stakeholders to identify process automation opportunities and recommend improvements. 

  • Participate in code/design reviews. 

  • Stay up to date with the latest Pega platform features, versions and enhancements. 

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams. 

  • Champion CI/CD best practices and improve reliability monitoring. 

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. 

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role

  • Must be Pega CSA and CSSA certified in any version. 

  • Must have experience in financial services or banking domain projects. 

  • Good to have experience in Pega financial frameworks like KYC/AML, CLM... etc. 

  • Must have Hands-on with latest Pega platform versions. 

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, high quality Pega applications.
