Our utilities client is looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making. This role involves designing, building, and deploying advanced reporting and analytics solutions, while also mentoring and providing technical expertise to colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and optimize databases and reporting systems.
  • Build and manage data pipelines for aggregation and integration from multiple sources.
  • Develop and document repeatable processes for data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the reporting team and stakeholders.
  • Partner with IT, product development, marketing, and other teams to apply insights to business strategies.
  • Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques, including predictive modeling.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis/reporting, with at least 2 in a senior or lead role.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, DAX, M, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Advanced SQL and database expertise (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and transformations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics.

Nice to Have:

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
  • SQL Certification (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Certified Professional, etc.).
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) – desirable.
  • Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate – desirable.
  • Other data science/engineering certifications are an asset.
