Human Resources Assistant - Hybrid, Contract
Our healthcare client is seeking an HR Assistant to play a key role in supporting recruiting and marketing initiatives to attract top talent.
Reporting to the Recruiting Manager, you’ll help streamline the hiring process, promote the client’s employer brand, and contribute to building a skilled and diverse workforce to meet their growing needs.
Location: Ottawa, ON (Kanata)
Contract Duration: 6-month contract
Compensation: $22 per hour
Schedule: Fluctuating hours between 8:30 AM – 4:30PM, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to identify staffing needs and job objectives.
- Work with Contract Managers to prepare candidate packages for rehires or new positions.
- Create and manage job orders in ATS/CMS for rehires.
- Assist recruiters with tasks like submitting security clearance requests, managing job orders, and assembling candidate packages.
- Help conduct audits in ATS/CMS for credentials, job postings, and new hires.
- Assist with gathering market data and formatting resumes for bid submissions.
- Support in preparing reports and presentations.
- Manage event logistics for job fairs and conferences, including promotional materials and shipping.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative/recruitment role.
- Must be eligible for enhanced reliability clearance.
- Experience with HR databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate management systems (CMS).
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Canva experience an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
