Our client working in the non-profit space is hiring for a Membership Records Assistant to join their team starting on an 11 week contract. This is an exciting opportunity working in a hybrid model, working 2 days onsite downtown Toronto, 3 days remotely. This position is starting on an 11 week contract with potential to extend.
The Membership Records Assistant helps maintain accurate records of teachers certified in Ontario. You will review Canadian and international applications, check academic and professional documents for authenticity, and ensure all information is correctly entered into the Member Registry.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process applications for certification.
Verify documents for accuracy and authenticity.
Maintain both digital and paper records.
Communicate clearly with applicants and members about their files.
Update member records and issue certification documents.
Prepare cases for leadership review when needed.
Work with education institutions and external agencies to confirm documents.
Support other units with membership record needs.
What You Bring
Post-secondary education and/or at least one year of related experience (or equivalent).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and in a team.
Strong written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Discretion when handling confidential information.
Assets (nice-to-have):
Experience in a regulatory, academic, or credential assessment setting.
Knowledge of academic and professional documentation.
Experience spotting fraudulent documents.
