Agilus is recruiting for a Damage Prevention Analyst in the Midstream Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Our client is seeking a Damage Prevention Analyst for its Calgary office. Reporting to the Supervisor of Damage Prevention, this role focuses on managing third-party crossing agreements, assessing risks to buried infrastructure, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will support internal and external stakeholders, maintain tracking systems, and deliver training on damage prevention processes. Strong communication, technical proficiency, and knowledge of industry regulations are key to success in this role.
A typical day:
Review and approve third-party crossing, proximity, and encroachment agreements.
Assess risks and perform surface loading calculations for vehicle crossings.
Maintain and manage the Crossings Management SharePoint site.
Support internal and external stakeholders with regulatory compliance.
Interpret maps, as-built drawings, and GIS to identify excavation risks.
Deliver training and guidance on Plains’ Damage Prevention processes.
Conduct assurance activities and drive continuous improvement.
Utilize One-Call, Irthnet, and Xchange systems to support field operations.
Successful candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years in Damage Prevention; Crossings experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of provincial and federal regulations.
Proficient in SharePoint, MS Office, ArcGIS, and Adobe.
Excellent communication, planning, and training facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
Successful completion of background, education, and reference checks.
