Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple, complex technology projects from initiation through closure. Leveraging PMI methodology, you will ensure initiatives are delivered on budget, within scope, and on time—while driving measurable business outcomes. This role is fully on-site as of January 1st, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee large-scale, cross-functional project teams including IT SMEs, divisional partners, 3rd party vendors, and external service providers.
- Manage project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource capacity planning.
- Define success criteria, track progress, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on course.
- Facilitate collaboration across a matrixed organization, ensuring stakeholders are engaged throughout governance processes.
- Lead procurement activities (RFPs, RFQs) and vendor selection for IT systems and services.
- Mentor team members, provide coaching, and foster high performance within project teams.
- Prepare executive-level reports and recommendations for senior leadership decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years leading large, complex technology projects with teams of 10–15+ members.
- Experience with enterprise platforms and infrastructure (ERP, CRM, Cloud, 3rd-party integrations, etc.).
- Strong technical foundation across IT domains: software development, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, storage, telecom.
- PMP strongly preferred; Agile/SAFe/CSM/ACP certifications an asset.
