Be the Backbone of Our Operations – Industrial Materials Handler wanted! Agilus is recruiting for several Industrial Materials Handlers in the Metal industry in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Industrial Materials Handler to join our team in the metal industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, storing, and preparing metal products and materials for shipment, while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities: Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools Ensure safe work procedures are followed Able to handle fast paced environment Pick and package material according to customer orders and specifications Climbing on and off trailers as required while loading and unloading trucks Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational, quality and health and safety) Ensure superior customer service Perform daily preventative maintenance Successful candidates will have: Grade 12 or equivalent Previous experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and using hand tools Able to work Monday to Friday, typically 8am to 4pm and 4pm - 12am Good knowledge of math and measurements Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory Self-motivated, results oriented with strong communication skills Able to perform some heavy lifting, bending over to hook up loads, standing for periods of time and climbing on and off trucks Safety-conscious attitude What's in it for you: $20.80 hourly Permanent, full time work Shift work, 8:00am-4:00pm & 4:00pm- 12:00am Comprehensive Benefits Program and a Pension Plan Safe and supportive work environment In house training will be provided Let's connect!
