We are seeking a Senior Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Developer to join our client's Enterprise Solutions Directorate. The successful candidate will provide technical development, support, and maintenance of Oracle EBS R12 and its integrated systems, following our client's Software Lifecycle Framework, standards, and change management procedures.
This role will be part of the Financial Application Support Team, which maintains Transport Canada’s core financial systems, including Oracle EBS, billing, payroll, reporting, and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and support solutions within Oracle EBS R12.x.
Develop and maintain reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows (RICE components).
Support system integrations with internal and external systems (APIs, automation, data exchange).
Provide technical support for user-reported issues and enhancement requests.
Collaborate with DBAs, functional users, and vendors (Oracle, FreeBalance).
Apply patches, upgrades, and system documentation updates.
Participate in system analysis, functional testing, UAT, and production support.
Support data cleansing, archiving, migration, and automation initiatives.
Mandatory Qualifications
Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following experience:
Post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate in IT or Software Engineering.
10+ years (last 12) of design and development experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x, including implementation and production support.
8+ years (last 10) of analysis and programming experience in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x.
8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Developer Suite 6i/10g (Forms & Reports) in an Oracle EBS environment (12x or higher).
8+ years of strong experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL in an Oracle EBS environment (12x or higher).
