Salary: Information unavailable

We are seeking experienced professionals to join the Provincial Initiatives team as a Program Consultant supporting the rollout of a new Gender-Based Violence Initiative across Ontario. This role will focus on the planning, coordination, and implementation of provincially funded GBV programs in community hubs.

Working alongside site-level implementation specialists and community-based partners, the Program Consultant will help develop and scale evidence-based, trauma-informed, and equity-driven approaches to GBV programming. This is a fast-paced initiative with new funding secured for three years, designed to move from pilot to provincial scale.

The position requires strong collaboration, project implementation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including youth, families, service providers, and community partners.

Must live in Ontario, but outside the Toronto GTA area.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of GBV programming across 10 community hubs, ensuring alignment with provincial objectives and site-level needs.
  • Collaborate with site Implementation Specialists, community partners, and cross-sector stakeholders to establish integrated care pathways.
  • Coordinate the development of RFP processes, mapping, and planning tools to support program rollout and scale-up.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, working groups, and youth/family advisory meetings to ensure co-design and lived-experience perspectives are embedded.
  • Provide implementation science and change management support, including facilitation, problem-solving, consensus building, and conflict resolution.
  • Support the development of tailored resources (clinical, operational, and communications) to assist local teams in adapting and implementing programs.
  • Deliver education and training related to GBV supports across networks.
  • Develop and track implementation plans, progress reports, and evaluation metrics using project management tools.
  • Work collaboratively with internal program teams (knowledge mobilization, engagement, evaluation) to align strategies and ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Apply principles of equity, anti-racism, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed care throughout all program delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the health and/or social service sector, ideally within GBV or youth mental health services.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario’s youth mental health, substance use, and GBV service systems.
  • Experience with facilitation, co-design, and community engagement with youth and/or families.
  • Proven ability to support teams in implementing evidence-based practices and system change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building, consensus-building, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), stakeholder engagement, and partnership development skills.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills with experience managing multiple deliverables in fast-paced environments.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, project management tools, and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and ability to travel across the province.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in health, education, or social sciences or equivalent lived/professional experience.

Benefits
  • 6% vacation pay provided in lieu of vacation time, paid on each pay cycle.
  • 12–14% benefits pay in lieu, depending on HOOPP pension enrollment status.
