The Senior Manager supports the development and execution of a global performance strategy, program and process driving all key activities needed for a performance-based culture. This global position and function will collaborate with business and HR leaders to deliver a best-in-class performance program and methodology that is aligned to business objectives and values.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champion a performance and customer-oriented culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Enhance and Optimize a Bank-wide performance management strategy
    • Analyze current end to end performance cycle and assess against best-in-class methodologies
    • Lead and drive continuous improvements in performance management processes
    • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in key decisions
  • Design, build and deliver training, communications and change management materials to drive a Performance Development culture
    • Develop communication plans for employees and people managers
    • Develop enablement plans for HR Business Partner community
    • Assess training needs and develop relevant materials to influence the mindset and behavioral changes that will support a Performance Development culture
    • Incorporate research, best practices and lessons learned to improve and elevate performance solutions and advice
    • Lead and drive continuous improvements to enablement materials and communication/change channels 
  • Collaborate with key HR partners / cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across programs and influence successful adoption of new approaches (e.g., Culture, Leadership, Learning)
  • Establish strong relationships with the HR Business Partner community to: 
    • Understand unique needs  
    • Assess requirements and propose solutions in alignment with the Bank’s performance framework
    • Champion Bank wide initiatives with specific business lines
    • Identify opportunities to pilot innovative methodologies, containing risk and assessing change management effort 
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. 
  • Champion a high performance environment, being part of a team that values ongoing coaching and feedback that that attracts, retains, develops and motivates members across the team, while fostering an inclusive work environment.  

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Communications or related discipline
  • 4-7 years’ relevant business experience.
  • We seek a natural, high-energy individual with excellent change management skills
  • Deep knowledge of performance management methodology and how to drive the cultural and behavioral changes needed to enable a high performance work culture/environment.
  • Strong implementation/project management skills
  • Intellectual curiosity around ‘best-in-class’ practices (inside and outside the Bank)
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and results
  • Ability to work independently, while influencing others
