What you'll do

Responsibilities

Working in a team environment and reporting to the Manager of Student Services you will:

Reporting to the Bookstore Manager, you will be engaged in bookstore operations during the September rush which include assisting with the sale of all bookstore items, managing web orders through our ecommerce site, and store upkeep including merchandise displays.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years' recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook. Experience in Bookware and PeopleSoft would be an asset.
  • You have experience using point of sales systems and preparing a deposit.
  • You have experience with e-commerce and are comfortable processing online orders.
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
  • Experience in a retail business environment and/or bookstore would be considered an asset
