Our client in the property management industry is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team in Ottawa. Reporting to the Project Manager, this full-time, permanent role provides administrative and project coordination support to the construction delivery team.
This position is fully on-site in Ottawa and requires Secret Clearance. The role offers competitive compensation, benefits, paid time off, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for construction project delivery, including document management, scheduling, and reporting.
Manage small tenant requests from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Coordinate construction logistics such as work permits, site access, loading dock scheduling, and material deliveries.
Monitor project sites for health and safety compliance. Assist with budget preparation, track expenses, review invoices, and maintain accurate financial records.
Support tender processes, vendor selection, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
Maintain clear communication with tenants, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Monitor construction quality, prepare status reports, and ensure accurate project documentation.
Coordinate project closeout, including “as-built” drawings, warranties, and manuals for handover to operations.
Qualifications
Mandatory: Secret Clearance.
3–5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in commercial construction or real estate project delivery.
Post-secondary certificate or diploma in project management, construction technology, business administration, or related field (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
