Compensation: $100K–$130K guaranteed draw + competitive commissions + equity and incentive opportunities
Overview
We are seeking experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development Executives (Producers) to join our Client's Commercial Insurance team. This is a high-impact sales role focused on building a personal book of business within the mid-market segment.
With a guaranteed draw of $100K–$130K, competitive commission structure, and long-term equity opportunities, this role is ideal for driven sales professionals with strong B2B networks who want to maximize earning potential and take ownership of their success.
Role Details
As a Business Development Executive, you will prospect and secure new commercial clients across industries such as hospitality, construction, power and renewable energy, entertainment, manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, financial services, and more. You will focus on hunting and relationship-building, while account managers and service teams handle day-to-day client servicing.
This role provides the infrastructure, resources, and market access of a leading brokerage while giving you the freedom to grow your book and income.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a business development strategy to identify and secure new mid-market clients.
Prospect, network, and build long-term relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
Present and position comprehensive risk management and insurance solutions tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with internal account management, marketing, and cross-selling teams to deliver client value.
Meet and exceed annual new business revenue targets while building a sustainable, recurring book.
Participate in industry events and leverage market insights to expand client opportunities.
Qualifications
Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial insurance production.
Experience in industries such as insurance, financial services, construction, manufacturing, or real estate is an asset.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with mid-market business leaders.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a commission-driven environment.
RIBO license (or willingness to obtain within 2 years; licensing costs covered).
Results-oriented, self-motivated, and strategic in building long-term business opportunities.
