Role: Net New Role - Scrum Master

Location: Remote within Canada

Term: 2025/09/01 – 2026/08/31( with a possibility of extension )

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers.
  • Reinforce Agile and Scrum practices to encourage teams to work with agility.
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies and other sessions as needed.
  • Promote agile practices while consistently reinforcing scrum theory and values.
  • Build relationships to foster engagement encourage collaboration.
  • Remove or escalate impediments to the scrum team’s progress.
  • Protect the team from internal and external distractions.
  • Lead process management and improvement practices to ensure the team improves how they deliver value.
  • Assist the Product Owner in ensuring that scope, commitments, and line of sight targets are understood by everyone on the scrum team.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, facilitating communication between teams, etc.

 

Required Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science and at least five years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 10 years of experience working in Agile Scrum.
  • Relevant certifications.

 

Required Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of agile principles and scrum frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve a wide range of impediments that are strategic, organizational, or technical in nature.
  • Confident communicator, facilitator, and relationship-builder.
  • Skilled collaborator able to reinforce agile principles with colleagues.
  • Innovator with sound business judgment.
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to help others succeed.
