Researches, defines, aligns, develops, implements and manages Commercial Deposit products with P&L (profit and loss) accountability. Enables the sales force to effectively sell, fulfill, and service new and existing individual or portfolio of banking products and improve the customer experience. Carries out market research, forecasting, pricing and competitive analysis, monitors product and platform / system performance, and assesses problems to develop and implement solutions. Manages product risks in compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk compliance, and reporting. Collaborates with internal partners across the enterprise to take products to market and delivers business results in alignment with overall Group goals.
Product Ownership:
- Develops product strategy and new initiative recommendations to senior leaders, based on in-depth understanding of the business.
- Defines and implements strategic roadmaps for banking products and services, including project and budget approvals.
- Designs, implements, manages, and enhances a single product or suite of products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identifies enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation, raises issues with stakeholders and offers solutions to resolve issues or risks that jeopardize delivery.
- Develops business cases by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected returns on investment.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies
- Develops, implements, and manages product documentation, templates, and requirements to ensure they accurately reflect product and systems functionality.
- Participates in and evaluates market research and competitive analysis associated with assigned products.
- May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
- Identifies emerging trends and issues to inform decision-making.
- Participates in project/program design and provides subject matter expertise to achieve required business results.
- Applies product expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to complex / non-routine problems.
Strategy & Execution:
- Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, develops and executes a roadmap of strategic initiatives and delivers on business / financial goals
- Provides strategic and data-driven input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
- Develops solutions to resolve strategic issues and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Supports the execution of strategic initiatives with adaptability, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessment, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
- Implements change activities in response to shifting trends, ensuring cross business/group coordination and logistical support for the implementation of change.
- Leads the execution of operational programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
- Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
Cross-functional Leadership:
- Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders; complexity of initiatives may vary and usually involve multiple stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Collaborates with stakeholders during the design, development and implementation of programs & solutions.
- Keeps stakeholders informed of business context, recommendations, decisions, processes and progress.
- Collaborates across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging to positively influence or change behavior.
- Leads/oversees the management of vendor relationships and external partnerships and provides guidelines for execution; ensures that all agreements are met as per requirements.
- Acts as the day-to-day contact for vendors; supports the implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of vendor solutions.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with all stakeholders.
Analytical Rigor:
- Develops and monitors key product performance and growth metrics to identify trends, address any issues and implement action plans that optimize financial performance.
- Defines business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.
- Breaks down strategic problems and analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Oversees the development of business analytics and insights (e.g. portfolio profitability tracking, customer analytics, revenue forecasts, operations metrics, trend analytics, and predictive modelling).
- Leads, develops, and manages strategies for reporting and forecasting and/or analytics teams within the business.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Develops problem evaluation frameworks and defines research approach.
- Conducts complex market research, competitive intelligence and data analysis, including pricing, from publicly available information.
- Provides competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify product strengths and gaps.
Voice of Customer:
- Analyzes customer/consumer insights and channel data to identify strengths and gaps and develop recommendations.
- Participates in and evaluates customer/consumer insights and channels information.
- Gathers customer and sales feedback and analyzes issues / opportunities.
- Resolves internal, complex or higher risk customer escalations or policy exceptions, which may include interactions with clients and sales.
- Continuously improves processes to identify issues and deliver optimal customer experience solutions.
Sales Empowerment
- Works with partners to develop salesforce training and materials and manages communications / change.
- May support the sales team in development of client deals and related presentations.
- Creates go to market strategy, including offers and campaigns, and works with Marketing, Sales and other partners to execute.
Governance & Risk Management
- Completes internal and regulatory reporting, and attestations.
- Identifies existing and potential risks and develops risk management controls and processes.
- Develops and maintains product directives and policies.
- Influences and/or determines credit product risk parameters and metrics.
- Runs analyses and reports that support risk management and policy development.
- Leads/participates in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes.

Qualifications:
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Seasoned Product professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
- Product fundamentals, including product research, design, development, enablement and related policies and procedures - In-depth / Expert.
- Knowledge of product delivery infrastructure systems and underlying product interdependencies - In-depth / Expert.
- Risk management associated with new and existing product development and management - In-depth / Expert.

Ce qui précède représente la fourchette et le type de rémunération de BMO Groupe financier.
Les salaires varieront en fonction de facteurs comme l’emplacement, les compétences, l’expérience, les études et les qualifications pour le poste et pourront inclure une structure de commissions. Les salaires pour les postes à temps partiel seront calculés au prorata du nombre d’heures travaillées régulièrement. Pour les rôles à commission, le salaire susmentionné représente la cible de BMO Groupe financier pour la première année au poste.
La rémunération totale offerte par BMO variera selon le type de rémunération associé au poste et peut comprendre des primes de rendement, des primes discrétionnaires ainsi que d’autres avantages et récompenses.
