Agilus is recruiting for a Credit Policy Analyst in the Banking industry in Toronto, Ontario.
The Credit Policy Analyst will help shape policy standards and collaborate closely with senior leadership in a dynamic and evolving business environment
A typical day:
Lead the design, development, and refinement of credit policies tailored specifically to wealth management clients
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across private banking, credit, risk, operations, and compliance to gather input and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Translate business needs and credit risk requirements into clear, compliant, and scalable policy documentation
Provide subject matter expertise on credit/lending structures and policy impacts specific to high-net-worth clients
Develop and maintain governance documents, frameworks, and policy communications
Support the development of new workflows and controls to ensure effective implementation of policies
The successful candidate brings:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in credit policy, credit risk, or lending—ideally within large financial institutions.
Deep expertise in credit/lending practices with a strong understanding of the nuances in the wealth management/private banking space
Proven experience writing, designing, and implementing credit policies
Ability to work cross-functionally and drive consensus among senior stakeholders and multiple business lines.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel to develop high-impact presentations and documentation
Degree in finance, economics, law, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Executive presence with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a developing or ambiguous environment with minimal oversight
