Our public sector client preparing for a large-scale, multi-year ERP transformation initiative. Currently in the planning and pre-implementation phase, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the coordination, planning, and strategic execution of key project deliverables, including a detailed business case and statement of work to onboard a system integration partner. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning multiple stakeholders, ensuring financial scoping accuracy, and setting the foundation for a successful implementation phase.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 3 month contract with possibility of extension.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the ERP transformation planning phase, providing strategic direction and hands-on coordination across business and technical workstreams
  • Oversee the development of a comprehensive business case, including scope definition, financial projections, and risk assessment, in preparation for executive and board-level review
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across departments (IT, finance, operations, corporate services), ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables
  • Manage the creation of a detailed statement of work (SOW) to support the selection and onboarding of a systems integrator partner
  • Establish and maintain project governance, including schedules, budgets, resource tracking, issue/risk logs, and performance reporting
  • Act as a liaison between executive sponsors, business leads, and technical experts to ensure priorities are aligned and communicated effectively
  • Provide leadership in a hybrid environment, facilitating remote and on-site workshops to drive collaboration and decision-making
  • Support onboarding of other project team members (e.g., solution architect, change lead, business analyst) and coordinate interdependencies across roles
  • Identify and mitigate early-stage risks or barriers to successful implementation, offering structure and foresight in an evolving project landscape


Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Strong background in ERP implementation projects (Oracle Fusion preferred, but other systems also accepted).
  • Experience in complex, matrixed environments, preferably within public sector, healthcare, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success in managing project scoping, business case development, and vendor engagement.
  • Experience working with shared ERP systems or multi-organization rollouts.
  • Proven ability to lead in hybrid/remote environments and coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent experience managing large-scale projects).


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience using ServiceNow ITSM.
