We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who can bridge business goals with innovative solutions in the public sector space. You’ll dive deep into analyzing systems and processes, gathering and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements, and lead the delivery of impactful digital products. You’ll work cross-functionally with both stakeholders and Agile teams to ensure solutions align with strategic goals—particularly within public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map and evaluate current processes within transit and bus operations.
  • Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and use cases through interviews, workshops, and other techniques.
  • Conduct gap analyses and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation, diagrams, and data models.
  • Own and manage the product backlog in alignment with agency priorities.
  • Represent business needs and user perspectives to Agile development teams.
  • Write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Guide the team through sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate product readiness.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years in business analysis or product ownership roles.
  • Solid understanding of public sector environments, including procurement and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong command of Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Haves

  • CBAP, CSPO, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with reporting/data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of UX/UI concepts.
  • Familiarity with digital accessibility requirements.
