We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact initiatives in the public sector focusing on public agency collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. This role is essential in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic goals.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience managing public sector projects, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, government agencies, and community partners to ensure alignment and progress.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as needed.
- Track and report on project KPIs and status updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and public sector policies and procedures.
- Support procurement efforts, including development of RFPs and SOWs.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and contribute to process improvements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles.
- 5+ years developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans.
- 5+ years collaborating with diverse stakeholders including public agencies and vendors.
- 5+ years of experience managing risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) is required.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with transit-specific technologies.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal procurement processes.
- Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI).
