HR Operations Coordinator
Location: Remote (Ontario-based, EST hours)
Term: 3-month contract with high potential for extension or permanent hire
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Altis Recruitment is actively seeking an HR Operations Coordinator to support our client – a leading global data engineering company – in delivering seamless HR services across the employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the HR Operations team, you will:
Prepare and issue offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation using DocuSign and other platforms.
Track and verify new hire documentation, including payroll forms, ID verification, tax forms, and benefits enrollment.
Maintain accurate employee records across HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
Coordinate onboarding logistics and act as the primary point of contact for incoming employees during pre-boarding.
Support benefits administration and liaise with vendors and internal teams.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding onboarding, HR policies, benefits, and related documentation.
Maintain digital files in compliance with audit and record-keeping standards.
Assist with offboarding processes including asset recovery, system access removal, and documentation.
Develop and maintain trackers, templates, internal reports, and communication materials.
Contribute to the execution of HR programs and ad hoc projects supporting employee experience.
Candidate Profile:
We're looking for detail-oriented professionals with:
1–3 years of experience in HR coordination, HR admin, or people operations roles.
A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with HRIS, ATS platforms, and DocuSign is an asset.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
A proactive mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
