We are seeking a
Finance Business Analyst for our client in Ottawa to support the planning of a digital transformation initiative.
This role will be instrumental in gathering business requirements, analyzing current processes, and helping develop a business case and roadmap for future ERP implementation.
The ideal candidate brings experience in finance-related functions, has strong analytical and communication skills, and thrives in fast-paced, change-driven environments.
Responsibilities- Analyze business processes to understand operational needs, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with various teams (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, etc.) to support transformation planning activities
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather business requirements and contribute to system planning and solution design
- Assist with the testing and validation of ERP configurations and integrations, ensuring accuracy, usability, and regulatory compliance
- Support change management initiatives through training, user guides, and clear process documentation
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of key processes and systems to support governance, compliance, and audit requirements
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance function or business systems role within a complex organization
- Experience supporting ERP initiatives, digital transformation projects, or business systems planning within finance functions
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, internal control frameworks, and financial operations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across departments
- Proficient in analyzing data, writing clear documentation, and facilitating process improvements
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal supervision and balancing competing priorities under tight deadlines
Education
- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Working towards or completion of a CPA designation or MBA is considered an asset
