The Ministry of Affordability and Utilities is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Policy Analyst to join the Retail, Distribution, and Programs Branch. If you're passionate about public policy and have expertise in Alberta’s utility retail markets, this is your opportunity to influence meaningful change.
Reporting to the Manager, Retail Policy & Programs, you will lead the research, development, and implementation of policies and regulations for Alberta’s electricity and natural gas retail markets. This role involves providing expert advice to leadership, engaging stakeholders across sectors, and participating in high-profile, multi-stakeholder initiatives that directly focus on stabilizing costs for Albertans.

University graduation in economics, business, engineering or other related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
• 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
• 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Required experience:
• Policy development.
• Technical writing.
• Research analysis.
• Data analysis.
• Project management.
