Our leading Saskatchewan public sector client is looking for an AI Strategy and Roadmap Consultant to join their team on a 6-8 week term (possibility of extension).
They are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Consultant to support the development of a strategic roadmap for adopting and integrating AI technologies across its operations. The consultant will provide expert guidance on identifying high-impact use cases, evaluating organizational readiness, and outlining a phased implementation plan.
Responsibilities
Conduct discovery sessions with key stakeholders to understand ESK’s operational environment and data ecosystem
Identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, accuracy, or decision-making
Assess current capabilities and identify gaps in infrastructure, data governance, and internal skill sets
Recommend appropriate AI tools, platforms, and frameworks suited to ESK’s needs
Develop a strategic roadmap outlining short-, medium-, and long-term AI initiatives
Provide guidance on ethical, legal, and privacy considerations surrounding AI adoption
Deliver a final report and presentation summarizing findings, recommendations, and next steps
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in AI strategy, data science, or machine learning consulting
Proven experience developing AI roadmaps, particularly within the public sector or other regulated environments
Experience working with an Election Management Body (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with AI governance, model interpretability, and responsible AI practices
Strong knowledge of data architecture, analytics platforms, and cloud technologies
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage executive stakeholders effectively
A track record of delivering clear, actionable documentation and strategic plans
Additional Details
Onsite presence in Regina is preferred, though remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates
