Agilus is recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector in the Life Sciences Industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Our client is excited to add an IQC Inspector (Incoming Quality Control) to their IQC and Calibration team. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, with a high school diploma and experience in a productivity-focused environment. They should be proficient with computers, capable of writing concise inspection reports, and comfortable performing both meticulous desk inspections and physical tasks in a warehouse setting. Responsibilities: Perform detailed inspections at a desk using a microscope and computer Inspect plastics (1” x 2” by ¼” thick) with highly detailed features using a Luxo magnifying lens and binocular microscope Write short inspection reports to describe failures Work in the warehouse and IQC (Incoming Quality Control) area. Handle skids, obtain sample boxes, place them on carts, push carts, open boxes, take samples, and return boxes to skids. Operate a pump truck to move skids (training provided). Lift boxes/rolls from ground to waist height, with weights up to 15-16 kg for 2-3 hours a couple of times a week. Normally, weighs 5 kg or less. Requirements: High School Diploma is the minimum requirement Experience in a productivity-focused environment (e.g., Tim Horton’s, McDonald's, Manufacturing) Demonstrated attention to detail and a background in quality control Must be able to start within 2 weeks from the date of the interview Good computer skills, including proficiency in Word and some Excel.
