Job Posting: Real Estate Secured Lending Underwriter (2-Week Remote Contract)

Pay Rate: $120–$135/hour

We are hiring a skilled Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) Underwriter to join a short-term, high-impact engagement involving the assessment of residential credit files across multiple institutions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in mortgage underwriting and regulatory alignment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct structured reviews of Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) credit files

• Evaluate underwriting quality and account management where applicable

• Document findings in a detailed and pre-defined format

• Highlight any deficiencies and support with evidence-based rationales

• Ensure work adheres to regulatory and industry expectations for residential lending

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in residential mortgage underwriting, adjudication, or lending risk review

• Deep understanding of retail lending practices, credit risk, and regulatory guidelines

• Strong documentation and analytical skills with a high attention to detail

• Ability to complete high-volume file assessments within tight timelines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
