Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter – CRE (Remote | 2-Week Contract)

Pay Rate: $125–$135/hour
Duration: 2 Weeks (Full-Time Hours)
Location: Remote (Canada-based)
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate (CRE) underwriting professional to support a high-impact special project involving the review and analysis of commercial lending files. This is a short-term, fast-paced assignment ideal for individuals with deep expertise in commercial credit assessment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and assess the quality of underwriting for a set of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) credit files

• Analyze financial, risk, and compliance aspects of each file

• Document underwriting and account management observations using a structured format

• Identify deficiencies, if any, and support them with a clear, evidence-based rationale

• Ensure assessments align with regulatory expectations and internal credit risk policies

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, credit adjudication, or related credit risk roles

• Strong knowledge of commercial mortgage lending practices, credit risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements

• Proven ability to assess large and complex credit files independently

• Excellent analytical, written communication, and documentation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
