Agilus is recruiting for a Intermediate Project Engineer in the Engineering Sector in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta.
Seeking a results-driven Project Engineer to support the execution of oil & gas projects from design through fabrication and construction. Ideal for a technically strong, organized professional with experience in modular facilities and packaged equipment.
Responsibilities:
Support project execution from early development through fabrication and construction, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
Develop and maintain project design basis documents (DBMs), scopes of work (SoWs), and project execution plans (PEPs).
Coordinate and review engineering deliverables including P&IDs, material requisitions, and construction work packages.
Facilitate and document project meetings, action logs, and technical discussions with internal teams and clients.
Interface with project controls and document control teams for cost, schedule, and document management.
Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases, including vendor coordination and field issue resolution.
Interpret and apply regulatory requirements and industry standards (ASME, CSA, API) to ensure safe and compliant project delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes, tools, and documentation standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5–10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or industrial projects.
P.Eng. designation or EIT actively pursuing licensure within 12 months.
Strong understanding of modular facility design, packaged equipment, and construction workflows.
Experience with engineering deliverables, cost estimating, procurement, and construction support.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneNote; familiarity with Aspen HYSYS, Bluebeam, and simulation tools is an asset.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Experience with fabrication and site construction activities is considered a strong asset.
