Agilus is recruiting for a Biostatistician, 6-month contract in the Life Sciences Industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Our client is seeking an experienced Biostatistician to join their team on a 6-month contract. The ideal person for this role is an independent contributor with the ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects. This person adapts to precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions. Responsibilities: Designs, plans, and executes biostatistical components of plans for research and development projects that establish the conditions essential for determining safety, efficacy, and marketability of pharmaceutical and/or biological products. Uses sound statistical methodology to conduct studies relating to the life processes of plants, animals, and humans. In development-phase projects, prepares the statistical component of protocols which meet project objectives, health authority guidelines, and clinical trial methodology standards. Develops and/or applies statistical theories, methods, and software. Organizes and interprets data into tabular forms amenable to principles of statistical inference and is responsible for the statistical component of reports describing studies, outcomes and methods used. Provides specifications and directions to the clinical programmers. May partner in program design and in establishing standards for clinical conduct, and the collection, management and/or reporting of data. Must have: MSc in Biostatistics (WES certification if education was obtained outside of Canada) Minimum 7 years experience in Biostatistics Advanced Knowledge of: R, SAS JMP, Minitab (or equivalent statistical software), MS Office Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada Must be willing to complete a criminal background check as part of the formal onboarding process Soft skills: Strong communication Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams What's in it for you: $95000.00 - $110000.00 annually Base pay and 4% in lieu of vacation paid weekly Competitive salary Recognition - feedback regarding performance and areas needing improvement, employee recognition programs Free on-site parking at our client's facility Additional opportunities with Agilus Let's connect!
