Salary: 32.43 per Hour
 
Our client in the non-profit space is hiring a Records Clerk for a two-month contract, fully ontsite in Toronto to support a time-sensitive document review and organization project. The successful candidate will have previous experience, ideally in property or real estateand will assist in sorting, analyzing, and summarizing physical documents related to property holdings and legal correspondences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and organize paper-based documents (e.g., tax bills, correspondences, agreements, titles, leases).
  • Catalog key information in Excel spreadsheets (e.g., document name, source, summary).
  • Interpret and summarize legal, financial, and property-related content to support decision-making.
  • Identify document types and their relevance (e.g., legal correspondences, City-issued tax bills, ownership agreements).
  • Synthesize and summarize findings in clear, professional language for internal reporting.
  • Map out ownership details of the orginzations properties based on a review of two banker boxes of records.
  • Work independently to sort and manage documents efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in records management, filing, or document review.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  •  Able to read and interpret legal, financial, and property-related documents.
  • Capable of pulling relevant information from multiple sources to create a summary.
  • Comfortable using Excel for basic cataloging 
  •  Accurate in identifying inconsistencies and ensuring data integrity.
  • Able to clearly communicate findings in writing to management.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  •  Familiarity with land titles, leases, and ownership documents (asset).
