We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Operational Excellence Manager to join our team at Altis Recruitment & Technology on a 12-month contract. If you're passionate about process improvement, HR systems, and making a meaningful impact, this is a unique opportunity to drive transformation across our core HR operations.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on modernizing key workflows—from onboarding and compensation to service delivery and compliance—while working cross-functionally with teams like Payroll, Finance, Legal, and IT. Your mission? To simplify processes, reduce risk, and create scalable systems that improve the employee experience and support our People strategy.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, loves diving into the details of HRIS configurations, and enjoys seeing the tangible results of their work. You'll be empowered to take ownership of high-impact projects, contribute to long-term improvements, and help shape the future of our HR operations.
Over 12 months, you’ll lead and deliver on 3 key projects where duties will include but may not be limited to:
- Leading current-state analysis workshops for core HR processes (e.g., onboarding, job changes, compensation, offboarding), and identify policy misalignments, operational inefficiencies, and control gaps. Deliver future-state workflows that emphasize standardization, compliance checkpoints, and internal controls.
- Ensuring the successful implementation of existing compensation plans within the current HRIS environment, supported by improved future state processes.
- Launching a tiered model for an HR ticketing/service delivery model that categorizes, tracks, and reports on employee interactions across HR, IT, Finance and Communication teams.
HRIS & Compensation Enablement
- Lead and execute business process improvements within the Bamboo HRIS system, partnering closely with the Finance team (HRC) to optimize end -to-end workflows, enhance data integrity, and ensure scalable, compliant solutions across the employee lifecycle.
- Define business requirements for HRIS configuration updates (e.g., compensation plans, approvals, security access).
- Collaborate with system admins and technical teams to implement workflow enhancements.
- Support testing, validation, and documentation of new processes and system logic.
HR Service Delivery Design
- Develop a structured HR ticketing model with inquiry classifications, routing protocols, and escalation paths.
- Partner with relevant teams to embed reporting and compliance visibility into the service model
- Define KPIs and dashboards to monitor service effectiveness and compliance trends.
- Handle highly sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and sound judgment, ensuring all process improvements, system updates, and communications align with privacy legislation (e.g., PIPEDA) and internal data governance protocols
Change Management & Adoption
- Conduct impact assessments to inform training design, delivery and communications.
- Develop SOPs, training materials, and toolkits to support new workflows
- Drive adoption through clear stakeholder engagement and enablement strategies.
Key Deliverables
- Current-state and future-state process maps with controls, RACI, and SOP documentation – Partner with our vendor to configure and implement these.
- Conduct enterprise-wide training sessions on the new processes, for all employees, leaders and corporate teams.
- Business requirements and enablement plans for HRIS and compensation workflows.
- Service delivery model documentation including classification logic, routing, and reporting design.
- Compliance-aligned SOPs, training sessions, and communications to support rollouts.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to execute end-to-end process improvements, configurations, change plans and training within HR operations, HRIS enablement, or process improvement roles.
- Experience with business process mapping, change management, and workflow redesign.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional facilitation skills.
- Exposure to HRIS and service delivery platforms (e.g., Bamboo, Zendesk, D365).
