Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.
Purpose
The CID&A team at Scotiabank is central to our ambition to become a truly data-driven organization, leveraging impactful insights, advanced analytics, and robust data governance. A key aspect of our transformation is enhancing how data is understood, accessed, and utilized across business units to drive tangible value. The aim is to provide clear pathways and support for our internal data consumers, enabling them to effectively leverage data & analytics capabilities to achieve their strategic objectives. We are seeking an influential leader to champion this critical enablement function, focusing on widespread data literacy, effective data product adoption, and strategic project execution.
The role of the Senior Manager, Client Partnerships - Data & Analytics, functions as a dedicated strategic partner and expert guide for our internal business clients. This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating deep, collaborative partnerships with assigned business units, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor within the CID&A team. You will proactively understand their unique goals, challenges, and data consumption needs, then expertly guide them through the CID&A product and service ecosystem. Your focus will be on ensuring optimal adoption, utilization, and value realization from our existing and emerging data & analytics products, platforms, and services. This includes translating business requirements into actionable engagement pathways, managing their data & analytics initiative portfolio, facilitating technical understanding, and ultimately maximizing their return on investment in CID&A capabilities.
We are looking for a leader who excels at demystifying complex technical environments, fostering productive collaboration, and scaling data literacy. You will work closely with business leaders, data & analytics product owners, finance functions, Analytics Engineering, Platform teams, and other technical teams to ensure seamless access to, and effective utilization of, our capabilities, ultimately driving our modernization and business success by enabling strategic priorities.
You are a natural facilitator and strategic guide, adept at translating both business requirements for technical teams and technical capabilities for business users. You inspire confidence by making the complex clear and by connecting business problems to available data & analytics resources. You champion data literacy, the effective use and re-use of our data & analytics products, and foster a thriving community of practice, always striving to simplify engagement and enhance the user experience. You have a demonstrated ability to forge strong partnerships across diverse internal groups — including senior business leaders, product managers, architects, and engineers.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Serve as the dedicated Data & Analytics Client Partner for assigned business units, establishing yourself as their primary CID&A contact. You will build and nurture strong, trusted relationships, deeply understanding their strategic objectives, business processes, and data & analytics requirements. You will then proactively guide them through the full spectrum of CID&A products, services, and best practices, ensuring alignment and optimal solution adoption.
• Drive the adoption, effective utilization, and long-term success of CID&A products and services within your assigned accounts. This includes actively promoting new offerings, providing ongoing post-implementation support, collecting feedback, and fostering a collaborative Community of Practice to share best practices and maximize value realization.
• Elevate data literacy and self-service capabilities across your client accounts. You will identify knowledge gaps, then design and deliver targeted training programs, workshops, and comprehensive resources (e.g., training pages, instructional videos) to empower business users to effectively leverage CID&A products and services independently.
• Act as the CID&A liaison and advocate for your accounts' strategic data and cloud initiatives. You will work closely with technology teams (including Analytics Engineering and Platform) to translate business needs into clear project scopes, manage expectations, facilitate progress, and ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions within your assigned accounts.
• Manage and strategically evolve the data & analytics portfolio for your assigned accounts. This involves co-developing their CID&A initiative roadmap, ensuring it aligns with their strategic business priorities and our central CID&A product strategy, and proactively identifying opportunities for new product or service engagement.
• Champion and articulate the tangible value delivered by CID&A products and services to your client accounts. You will collaborate with business units and finance to track and report on ROI, manage associated budgets, and identify opportunities for continuous value optimization and cost efficiency.
• Serve as the critical strategic bridge between your assigned client accounts and the CID&A organization. You will ensure that their evolving business needs directly inform our product development and strategic direction, while effectively communicating CID&A's capabilities, roadmaps, and strategic vision back to your stakeholders, often in collaboration with Communications.
• Champion a robust data-driven culture within your client accounts, fostering strong partnerships and leveraging our collective organizational knowledge to advance our overall data strategy.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
• Proven experience in a dedicated internal client partner, client success, or business relationship management role within a complex enterprise environment, with a strong focus on driving adoption and value from technology or data & analytics products/services.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken, with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical and data concepts to diverse internal audiences, from senior executives to technical teams (Analytics Engineering, Platform) and business users, fostering understanding and buy-in.
• A highly influential and persuasive approach, enabling effective evangelism for CID&A product adoption, best practices, data-driven decision-making, and enhanced data literacy across your client accounts.
• Strong consultative skills, with a proven ability to understand client needs, propose tailored solutions, and co-develop strategic roadmaps for data & analytics engagement.
• Solid understanding of common Data & Analytics tools, platforms (e.g., BI software, cloud data services, reporting tools), and methodologies, coupled with the ability to clearly articulate their business value and use cases to internal clients.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering comprehensive client enablement programs, including developing curricula, creating engaging training materials (e.g., videos, documentation), and fostering vibrant communities of practice to drive product proficiency and adoption.
• Foundational understanding of project management principles, especially in the context of strategic technology and data initiatives, enabling effective coordination and client expectation management.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand ambiguous client challenges and identify appropriate CID&A product and service solutions.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for quality in all client-facing planning, enablement, and communication deliverables.
• A strong passion for driving internal client success and fostering high-performing data-driven teams, taking deep pride in enabling business outcomes through effective data & analytics utilization.
