Agilus is recruiting for a Payroll/Benefits Administrator in the Aerospace industry in Victoria, British Columbia.
Are you a payroll professional looking for a long-term opportunity with a financially stable, well-established company? Our client is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to manage payroll for multiple entities and support employee benefits programs. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sidney, BC, offering great perks and a collaborative team environment.
A typical day:
Process bi-monthly payroll for 5 companies (approx. 150 employees)
Manage payroll input, coding, reconciliation, and remittances
Administer benefits enrollment and monthly billing reconciliation
Prepare and submit Receiver General payments, ROEs, T4s, and W2s
Reconcile WCB and RRSP contributions
Support recruitment, employment equity, and employee assistance programs
Ensure compliance with Canada Labour Code and Employment Equity Act
Identify and implement process improvements in payroll and benefits
Successful candidates will have:
Diploma or certificate in payroll or equivalent experience (Canadian payroll courses preferred)
Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, ideally with multi-entity processing
Strong administrative, coordination, and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Experience with Sage 300 (Accpac) is an asset
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and benefits administration
Total rewards:
$28.00 - $38.00 hourly
Competitive hourly wage: $28–$38/hr, negotiable based on experience
