We have an exciting opportunity for a Change Manager in Saskatchewan! This is a 12-month contract to start. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working largely onsite at either of our client's offices in Regina or Saskatoon. 

A Change Managers is required to facilitate the seamless transition of stakeholders, internal and external, through changes associated with our client's Business Transformation Program (BTP) and other organizational changes. These changes include, but not limited to, the implementation of a Core Solution system that replaces the core workers’ compensation operating technologies, various organizational policy changes, various process improvement changes, Oracle upgrades, Winscribe replacement, and role-based changes.

The Change Manager will functionally report to the Director, Change Management Office and will be responsible for creating and leading the end-to-end change management strategies and plans and managing all related activities and initiatives that will be instrumental in preparing leaders and employees to embrace and adopt changes. At all times, the incumbents will ensure the delivery of OCM services adheres to our client's standards and delivery methods for change management and will be accountable to the Project Managers and/or Sponsors for the successful support of change projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing successful internal and external stakeholder transition from current state to future state.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-vendor environment, ensuring seamless collaboration between external partners and internal teams, using insights from business units to refine and adjust change strategies, plans, and deliverables as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders and partners including Sponsors, Training Leads, Business Leads, HR, Organizational Development, and other project members to facilitate discussions to identify emerging change and communication needs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage stakeholders to foster positive and effective working relationships including internal staff, union leadership, external stakeholders, and partners, aligning with the values and culture of the organization.
  • Work with project managers, senior leaders and business leads to build and implement customized, structured change management strategies and plans designed to address the unique needs of the business transformation projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the team of organizational change managers to support the delivery and execution of corporate change management initiatives, such as the change network, change training and change leadership.
  • Assist in the identification, escalation and mitigation of change risks.
  • Provide coaching and thought leadership to executives, senior leaders, and project leads, assisting them in applying the change management strategy to their specific initiatives.
  • Conduct change readiness and change impact assessments to inform strategic planning, ensuring that potential risks, issues, and impediments are identified and mitigated.
  • Develop strategic and tactical communications to target audience-specific raise awareness, enhance change readiness, and drive engagement for initiatives.
  • Develop strategic and tactical resistance management plans to support leaders in leading their teams through change to address audience-specific concerns and drive acceptance for change initiatives.
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes, providing insights for ongoing improvements.
  • Design and deliver flexible training sessions to all levels of the organization, as needed.
  • Follow all standard, practices, and processes related to change management and ensures compliance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive change documentation.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of dedicated OCM experience in the role of a Senior Change Manager, Change Practitioner, or similar lead change role.
  • Each resource should have prior experience as a key resource (Change Lead or equivalent) on an engagement of similar scope and complexity.
  • Prosci Certified Change Practitioner designation or equivalent change designation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder analysis and engagement, with a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation techniques to address resistance and barriers to change.
  • Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines and manage multiple change initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working within predictive, agile, and hybrid projects.
  • Technical proficiency with industry software and tools for tracking and reporting on change initiatives.
