Position Title: HR & Operations Advisor

About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a dynamic and growing organization in the manufacturing sector, we are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR & Operations Advisor to join their leadership team. This is a hands-on, dual-function role that blends strategic human resources oversight with day-to-day operational support. The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner to the President and play a key role in fostering a productive, compliant, and employee-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Leadership
Design and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Manage compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive and equitable.
Oversee performance management systems to support employee growth and accountability.
Coordinate training and development initiatives that align with company goals.
Act as the go-to advisor for all HR-related inquiries, including employee relations, coaching, and performance improvement.
Maintain and update employment policies and ensure full compliance with provincial labor legislation.
Provide regular HR metrics and insights to senior leadership to guide decision-making.
Submit payroll-related information accurately and on time, while collaborating with payroll providers.
Serve as Co-Chair of the national Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC), supporting health and safety compliance.
Champion employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
Operations & Business Support
Provide daily operational support to ensure productivity across departments.
Coach and guide staff to meet customer service standards and operational targets.
Actively participate in solving operational challenges and improving internal processes.
Foster cross-functional collaboration and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline.
CHRP or CHRL designation required, or actively working towards it.
Demonstrated experience supporting business operations and employee performance.
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Solid knowledge of employment legislation across Canadian provinces.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work beyond standard hours as needed.
Comfortable in both office and warehouse environments.
Occasional travel may be required.
