Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Support Assistant to join our Central Intake Team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently setting up disability claims. This is a critical support role requiring a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently enter data from claims forms into the internal disability system
Determine claimant coverage type and initiate both short-term and long-term disability claims
Set up claimant profiles using mainframe systems
Route disability forms to the appropriate team or staff member
Collaborate with Intake Coordinators and DMSO staff to ensure client-specific requirements are fulfilled
Provide assistance with additional administrative support functions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent typing and data entry skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
