Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager - Risk Management in the Midstream Oil and Gas Industry in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.
The primary responsibility is to manage risk management activities for a portfolio of projects. This includes risk identification, assessment, response, monitoring and control. More focus is given to support timely implementation of risk-based decision making and to establish corrective actions.
A typical day:
Facilitate early-stage risk and opportunity identification sessions to support project planning and execution.
Lead the development of risk management templates, flowcharts, and execution strategies tailored to project needs.
Monitor and track risk response implementation, proactively identifying and addressing emerging risks.
Establish and maintain schedule risk models to assess confidence levels in meeting key milestones, including In-Service Dates.
Collaborate with project teams to support risk-informed decision-making and problem-solving.
Maintain and update the project risk register, ensuring timely and accurate risk reporting.
Conduct continuous cost and schedule analysis, evaluating the impact of changes and recommending mitigation strategies.
Lead constructability review sessions to identify and resolve potential design and execution challenges.
Successful candidates will have:
Minimum 8 years of experience in project risk management, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or capital projects.
Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, tools, and techniques.
Proficiency in schedule and cost risk modeling tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Monte Carlo simulations).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate collaborative risk workshops.
Excellent communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
Experience with constructability reviews and working with multidisciplinary project teams.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
